Ty Cobb Healthcare System provides several convenient locations for patients to access a full range of rehabilitation services close to home.  Services include Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and other specialized services.  Both Cobb Memorial Hospital and Hart County Hospital offer inpatient and outpatient services to adults.

The Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic offers a full range of therapy options: 

  •  Lower Extremity pain/injury (hip, knee, foot)
  • Back/Neck pain/injury
  • Joint pain/disease
  •  Braces/orthopedic devices
  • Neurological conditions (Stroke, Neuropathies, etc.)
  • Cardiopulmonary conditions
  •  Wound Care
  •  Balance/Walking disorders
  • Work related injuries
  • Endurance training for the deconditioned

Occupational Therapy includes treatment for:

  • Upper extremity pain/injury (shoulder, elbow, hand)
  •  Splinting (carpal tunnel, tendon injury, etc.)
  •  Neurological conditions (Stroke, Parkinson’s, etc)
  • Activities of daily living training (teaching lost skills for self care and daily function)
  • Motor control/coordination training
  •  Cognitive training
  •  Work related injuries
  • Endurance training for the deconditioned

Speech Therapy includes treatment for:

  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Difficulty with speech
  • Cognitive training

We have a heated indoor therapeutic pool used for Aquatic Therapy.   Aquatic Therapy has been proven beneficial for multiple diagnoses including osteoarthritis, chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia, back and/or neck pain and/or following surgery.

Our After Rehab program allows patients to continue their treatment program using our gym and pool.  Available for rehab patients who have been discharged from therapy, patients work independently on an established exercise program.  This service is available 4 days per week.

The Wee Care Rehabilitation Center, located at the Ridgeway Center in Royston, is specifically designed to meet the needs of children and adolescents.  Specializing in pediatric medical conditions such as:

  •  Swallowing Disorders
